Scandal at charity event: Man beats policewoman (28)

Arrest at a charity event in Vienna-Favoriten on Wednesday evening! A 28-year-old man is said to have caused a massive disturbance there. When a policewoman of the same age, who was off duty and assisting with serving drinks, asked the man to leave, he punched her straight in the face. 

The young man is said to have approached the event at around 9 p.m. and suddenly behaved aggressively towards the guests present. He is said to have harassed them to such an extent that the continuation of the event was massively disrupted by his behavior.

The young policewoman then allegedly asked the 28-year-old to leave the event. "The man of the same age then punched her in the face," says police spokeswoman Julia Schick. 

Colleague rushed to the woman's aid
A colleague of the woman, who was also off duty, noticed the incident and rushed to help. The two identified themselves as officers and asked the troublemaker several times to stop his criminal behavior. He did not comply with this request, attacked them and was eventually arrested. 

The woman was slightly injured in the incident and was treated on site by the emergency services.
