After almost eleven months of intensive investigative work, the police were able to track down a 16-year-old girl who threw a hubcap at a police car on New Year's Eve. There was also a dirty message to the police on the police car...

"Nique la Police" - translated from French: "F*** the police" - these insulting three words were not going to sit well with the police, just like a hubcap that had fallen off a police car. That's why the police investigated for almost a year. But what happened? 

On New Year's Day 2024, the police sent out the following report: "On 31.12.2023 at around 21:47, a firecracker was set off in front of Itzling police station or a police vehicle (KT), causing a hubcap to fall off, but the vehicle itself showed no signs of damage. No persons were found during an inspection, but a note was found on the windshield on which the above-mentioned text was written in French. 

Damage paid, charges filed 
Almost eleven months of intensive investigative work later, the police say they have been able to trace a 16-year-old Croatian girl who can be linked to the hubcap that fell off and the message on the note. The 16-year-old has already paid for the damage. She was reported to the public prosecutor's office. The police in Itzling can hope for safe nights again.
