Two years after the torture of a 12-year-old boy by his mother and a sadist, the public prosecutor's office in Krems is still investigating the two social workers. They had checked on the mother and child four days before the boy fell into a coma and recognized "no imminent danger". A final report is reassuring, but the matter is far from over.

One question arises in the investigation into the drama surrounding the then 12-year-old boy who almost died as a result of the actions of his mother and her sadistic girlfriend: What could have taken so long?
