Start the new school year with pleasant feelings

Counselling teacher and psychologist Adelheid Waldherr from Wallern in Burgenland reveals to parents how they can get off to a relaxed start at school with little effort.

School starts again tomorrow in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. While most of the little ones are already looking forward to the lessons and the new class community, many girls and boys who have been going to school for several years are less euphoric about the tightly scheduled daily routine. After all, some of them already know that learning can also be associated with pressure to perform, fear of exams and failure, unhealthy competition, peer group behavior and bullying.
