Tour of Spain with four Austrians this year

After the last relevant team nominations on Tuesday, there are four Austrians in the field of participants for the 79th Vuelta a Espana starting this weekend.

Felix Gall (Team Decathlon-AG2R) and Rainer Kepplinger (Bahrain) will be taking part in the Tour of Spain for the first time. For Patrick Konrad (Lidl-Trek) and Patrick Gamper (Red Bull-Bora) it is their second participation.

Start with the individual time trial
The start of the three-week tour will take place in Portugal, beginning with an individual time trial (12 km) from Lisbon to Oeiras on Saturday. The Vuelta will finish in Madrid on September 8th after 21 stages and 3300 km.
