E-biker saves himself at an inn after a serious fall

A fatal leisure accident on Sunday afternoon in the Tyrolean lowlands: an e-biker (67) fell heavily in Brandenberg in the district of Kufstein and was able to save himself despite his injuries at an inn. From there, the rescue chain was immediately set in motion.

The 67-year-old German was on an e-bike tour with a companion on Sunday afternoon. Their destination would have been an inn in Brandenberg - probably with a cozy stop for refreshments. But unfortunately it was not to be.

Lost control on a bend
During a braking maneuver in a bend, the e-biker lost control and crashed onto the gravel road. The man suffered serious injuries. Despite these injuries, he still managed to get to the inn with his companion.

To hospital by emergency helicopter
"From there, the rescue chain was set in motion", reported the police. After first aid, the injured man was flown to Kufstein District Hospital by emergency helicopter.
