Embarrassing! Olympic flag flown upside down

Hopefully this is not a bad omen for the Summer Olympics in Paris: the Olympic flag was embarrassingly flown upside down at the opening ceremony!

Of course, during the more than three hours of the already spectacular, colorful and visually stunning show at the start of the Paris Games, one or two mistakes may not have been avoidable.

But it always looks a bit "clumsy" when such a faux pas happens with something as central as the Olympic flag.

State of emergency, capitulation or rejection of the state?
Especially as a flag that is deliberately flown upside down can also be interpreted as a declaration of a state of emergency, capitulation to foreign powers or a rejection of the state.

May none of this happen during the Olympic Games, which will take place over the next two weeks.
