High-voltage power line: construction work on schedule

Dornbirn city center is currently a very complicated terrain for drivers due to various construction projects. However, there is improvement in sight.

Closed roads, large-scale detour, overwhelmed drivers and numerous traffic jams: traffic is currently flowing very slowly through Dornbirn. Marktstraße is currently closed due to asphalting work, and the same still applies to the Höchsterstraße/Brückengasse junction and the adjacent bridge over the Dornbirner Ach, where the entire road surface has been torn up due to the laying of a new high-voltage power line.

Despite well-signposted detour, specially modified bus timetables and temporary footpaths and cycle paths, the people of Dornbirn do not yet seem to have fully come to terms with the situation. At least there is improvement in sight: the work in Marktstraße should be completed next week, the relocation of the high-voltage power line is also right on schedule, and from September it should at least be possible to use the Höchsterstraße/Brückengasse junction again, which is so important in terms of traffic.
