Mysterious complex discovered in Giza

A brand new discovery near the pyramids of Giza in Egypt is puzzling researchers.

Researchers have discovered a mysterious L-shaped structure near the ancient pyramids of Giza.

This ten by ten meter anomaly, consisting of a flat and an underlying shape, could possibly be the entrance to a previously undiscovered tomb.

The mysterious structure was detected using electrical resistance tomography and ground penetrating radar. The site was particularly striking: it is located in the western cemetery, where there are several hundred mastabas - or graves - aligned from north to south.

Only in the middle of the site did they find no above-ground remains. This made the researchers suspicious - and rightly so, as it turned out.
