Salzburger Treff in Neusiedl: For Leitner/Pascariuc it is the chance before the police time-out, for Schnetzer the season premiere, for Grössig a rush back from the Brazil tournament.

The win2day Beach Volleyball Tour Pro is back in season. A total of eleven tournaments are on the schedule in Austria. The Masters in Neusiedl am See kicks off the season. Laurenz Leitner and Paul Pascariuc are ranked third behind the top-seeded duo of Martin Ermacora/Philipp Waller.

The Salzburgers have set their sights high, especially as they have not had any international success this year. "We usually find it difficult to get into the season, it's not so easy to find our rhythm. But we've always achieved good results at the end," explains Leitner. For him and his partner, the police school is on the agenda after the tournament.

Flo Schnetzer, who is competing for Salzburg, gets started for the first time in the new season. He and partner Lo Petutschnig are already in their fifth year together.

"It's really cool, we know each other very well and want to attack together for the next two seasons," explains Schnetzer, who is excited to see what the outcome of the first assessment in the race for a European Championship starting place for August will be.

The team had decided to forgo the "Brazil adventure", as it did not look like they would qualify until shortly before the start of the tournament. Laurenc Grössig, another player from Salzburg (partner Mathias Seiser), pulled out at the last moment, but lost his first match - then it was off to Neusiedl.
