Mountaineers find abandoned rucksack in Upper Austria

Is it just a forgotten rucksack, or has a tragedy occurred? On the Erlakogel in Ebensee (Upper Austria), mountaineers found a black rucksack that had been left behind. The police are now looking for the owner, who is probably a man from the Czech Republic.

At 6 a.m. on Sunday, a black rucksack was found by ascending mountaineers near a tree trunk in Ebensee, on the Erlakogel Normalweg at 1380 meters above sea level. After a search with the Libelle police helicopter, the location was searched further - without success.

What was in the rucksack
The contents of the rucksack consisted almost entirely of carefully packaged food (wrapped in Tupperware and wrapped in cellophane) and a pair of men's shorts (size L). Furthermore, a charging cable, a receipt from a Czech shopping store in Prague (printed out on 13.04.2024 at 11:36 a.m.), an exchange receipt showing that 597 Czech crowns were exchanged for 25.45 euros (this transaction was carried out on 13.04.2024 at 11:41 a.m.).
