While serial champions St. Pölten are unlikely to be beaten this season, the battle for the places behind them in the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga is more exciting than it has been for a long time. On Sunday, second-placed Altach will host runners-up Vienna in the battle for a Champions League qualifying place.

"The game will point the way forward - but certainly not yet decisive. After all, there are still four more rounds to go. A lot can still happen," said Altach coach Bernhard Summer ahead of today's home game against Vienna (12.45), who are three points behind the Rheindörflerinnen in third place in the table and want to draw level in the battle for a Champions League qualifying place. Nevertheless, he sees the psychological advantage on the side of his team. "They have to win, we could live with a draw."

Bankruptcy in Neulengbach ticked off
Both teams were beaten 2-0 recently - Altach in Neulengbach, the Viennese at home against Dornbirn. "We were too passive and discouraged. We've discussed that and put it behind us," said Summer, who can also plan to play with Sarah Schneider again today after her recent injury.

First home win and relegation
The Dornbirn girls were already in action yesterday. They fell behind early against Bergheim (10th) and were lucky that the visitors missed a penalty (32nd). After the break, however, coach Klaus Stocker's team dominated and was rewarded! Emely van der Vliet (58'), Marta Vidal (72') and Jana Sachs (86') turned the game around and allowed the Dornbirn team to celebrate not only their first Bundesliga home win, but also their early relegation.
