GAK then and now
“And suddenly our club was closed!”
The GAK invited its members to the Annual General Meeting at the Graz Chamber of Commerce. The "Steirerkrone" spoke to the old and new chairman Rene Ziesler at what was apparently the last AGM before promotion and the former champions' return to the top division.
"Krone ": Mr. Ziesler, you were re-elected as chairman of the GAK. You took over this position in 2019 - actually with the intention of only doing it on an interim basis, right?
Rene Ziesler: Yes, at the time I said to my partner that I was only doing it on an interim basis and that we were looking for a candidate for the position (laughs). I was deputy to the then chairman Harald Rannegger, but after his resignation I always said that if I could help my favorite club, I would always do it.
