Dead in underpass: Man died in bicycle fall
The man who was found dead on a cycle path in Vienna's Donaustadt district on Monday afternoon died as a result of a fall. The 42-year-old Pole had suffered severe head injuries.
As reported, a passer-by had found the man lying lifeless on the ground in an underpass on the cycle path on Wagramer Straße. The professional rescuers were unable to do anything for him and he was found dead at the scene at around 2.30 pm.
According to ORF, the man probably fell from a 2.5 meter high wall. The identity of the man involved in the accident should also be known by now. It is said to be a 42-year-old Polish man. Intensive investigations in all directions were started immediately.
A post-mortem examination has now ruled out the possibility of any outside involvement. The serious fall was the Polish man's undoing.
