Frauenkirchen awakens
“Lenz is here” and brings regional delicacies
Spring is celebrated for the fourth time in Frauenkirchen with the "Der Lenz ist da" event. When? Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21.
During the spring awakening, the municipality brings to the forefront what makes Frauenkirchen special, both in culinary and artistic terms. Eight stations will invite visitors to taste, stroll, taste and buy.
As in previous years, the main starting point is the Frauenkirchen Basilica. From here, a vintage bus will take the hopefully many guests to the partners. By the way, there will also be a shuttle bus from the train station. So if you want to come without a car, go ahead! Then you might be able to enjoy one or two more aperitifs. In the courtyard of the basilica and in front of it there will be a colorful market and a drinks station.
And who else will be there? There's the organic (dynamic) Josef Umathum, the fragrance farmer Stefan Zwickl, the winegrower and alpaca whisperer Manuel Pinetz and Kathrin Slamanig, the earthy Ulla Wittmann, the creative Ines Weisz, the craftsman Stefan Bogner, the down-to-earth Joe Göltl and the thoroughbred innkeeper Dominik Sailer.
Why are they working together? Because it's simply better together! Everyone agrees on that. But there will not only be specialties from Frauenkirchen; although they will remain in Burgenland, they will go beyond the city and district borders. For example, Ernst Wallner from Gols with his DryTun gin and the Koo blue printing company from Steinberg-Dörfl will be making guest appearances at Stefan Zwickl's Dufthof. The Pannonian beer called Westwind from Deutsch Jahrndorf is available from Stefan Zwickl as well as from Ulla Wittmann in her soy manufactory.
Also there: Doaf Soaf, the band U-Turn and the artist Richard Bodyn. Oh yes, there will also be wine and sparkling wine, of course. Curious? Then head to Frauenkirchen next weekend. The exact program can be found at derlenzistda.at
