Jürgen Tautz is one of the leading bee researchers in the German-speaking world. He recently visited Ländle and presented astonishing facts about the life of these industrious bees.

Bees are an evolutionary success story: they have existed on earth for around 40 million years and continue to do their work. Hardly any other insect is as well known as the bee. Their indispensable role as pollinators and suppliers of honey, propolis and wax is widely known. So what else is there to learn about these industrious little creatures?
