After the death of the "Emperor"
How Joel Beckenbauer’s first big appearance went
24-year-old Joel Beckenbauer is following in the footsteps of his father, who passed away in January. In Kitzbühel he had a top meeting with John Jürgens-what they had to tell each other about their fathers.
On the eve of a ski charity benefiting the children of the SOS Children's Village East Tyrol, there was a top meeting at the Grand Tirolia in Kitzbühel. Among the guests was none other than Joel Beckenbauer. The 24-year-old son of "Emperor" Franz Beckenbauer, who died on January 7, attended the charity evening together with his partner Jessica Martl ...
... and Joel, who recently became a board member of the Franz Beckenbauer Foundation (together with his mother Heidi), cut a great figure. He had a particularly good exchange with John Jürgens. Why?
Not only is he also a board member (of the Udo Jürgens Foundation), but both were celebrating a return to their "home" in Kitzbühel. Both lived in the Gamsstadt at times and their fathers also knew each other and got on well together. They are said to have met again and again at the Bichlalm, as John revealed.
It is quite possible that this meeting at the Grand Tirolia was the start of a tradition for the next generation.
