During a reckless overtaking maneuver, a 31-year-old driver was caught by the police in Upper Austria. The man was clocked at 157 km/h. Particularly tragic: his seven-year-old daughter was sitting in the back seat without a suitable booster seat. The driver's license was confiscated and he was allowed to keep his car.

At 4 p.m. on Tuesday, a 31-year-old man from Saxen was driving his vehicle on the B3 coming from Perg in the direction of Arbing. In the municipal area of Auhof, the 31-year-old driver overtook another car and was measured with a "laser gun" at a speed of 157 km/h by a police patrol that was carrying out speed checks in this area.

When the vehicle was subsequently stopped, the officers also discovered that he was transporting his underage daughter in the back seat of the vehicle he was driving without an appropriate booster seat. After a temporary confiscation of the driver's license for speeding on the spot, charges were filed with the relevant authorities. However, the driver was lucky and was allowed to keep his car.
