Salzburg’s Gloukh mourns the loss of his best friend
Oscar Gloukh is missing from the FC Red Bull Salzburg squad for the Bundesliga home game against Austria Klagenfurt. The reason for this is a sad one: the Israeli lost his best friend Afik, who was killed in action in the southern Gaza Strip.

He died during a mission in the Gaza Strip. As the funeral took place in Israel on Sunday, the 19-year-old was released by his club and was therefore also missing from the squad for the league home game against Austria Klagenfurt.
"My dear brother, I can't believe you're not here anymore," Gloukh wrote in his Instagram story. "From 0 years old to now. I can't digest it."
The two had an intimate relationship and spent as much time together as possible, including in the summer of 2023 when they vacationed together on Mykonos with their girlfriends.
