A few days after the death of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, access to the account of his widow Yulia Navalnaya was temporarily blocked on Tuesday. Instead of the 47-year-old's posts, the following message appeared: "Account blocked. X blocks accounts that violate our rules". The account has since been unblocked again.

The account had only been set up on Monday. No reasons were initially given for the temporary block. The "Anti-Corruption Foundation" from the team of regime critic Navalny reacted promptly and wanted to know - also via the X platform - what rules Navalny had violated.

She announced a revelation: She said she knew exactly why Putin had Navalny killed, and also who carried out the murder on his behalf. "We will tell you their names and show you their faces," she explained.

According to the Russian authorities, the opposition leader collapsed during a walk in the "Polar Wolf" prison camp in Siberia. Navalnya's accusations were rejected by the Kremlin spokesperson: These are "foul-mouthed and absolutely unfounded accusations against the Russian head of state", Dmitry Peskov let it be known on Tuesday.
