New, old vehicle for the winter solstice celebration

The youngest fire department in Burgenland - the Bruckneudorf fire department - gave its community a special "present" for the winter solstice celebrations. 

The new supply vehicle was actually supposed to be wrapped in red fabric for Christmas. But the wind thwarted the comrades' plans. "We tried for half an hour," laughs commander Hannes Kampel. Until they finally gave up.

Nevertheless, the people of Bruckneudorf were delighted when the new vehicle was presented in the evening.

"Our fire department is great," the community agrees. The Bruckneudorf fire department has been in existence since 2017 and its fleet consists exclusively of transferred vehicles that have been adapted by the comrades themselves to suit their needs.

"The utility vehicle is a replacement for our old car, which has been in use for five years. However, the car is already 30 years old," explains Kampel. Time to decide on a new one. But it is also used again. It was purchased from MAN and converted for their purposes by the Bruckneudorf comrades themselves in recent weeks.
