The ÖSV eagles agree on the best present

During the Christmas break before the start of the Four Hills Tournament, the Austrian ski jumpers switch off in the company of their loved ones. Before the ÖSV eagles go for victory in the traditional ski jumping spectacle, they will recharge their batteries with good food and relaxation at home. Stefan Kraft, Daniel Tschofenig and Jan Hörl have different traditions for Christmas, but the trio agreed that the triple victory in Engelberg was the best present.

In any case, the presents have long since been bought for the family members. "Thank goodness we've been giving presents for two years now. Now I haven't had to get so many presents, it was very relaxed," Kraft said in an interview with APA. Hörl already had his presents together in November. "I was very early this year. I bought on Black Friday and everything went according to plan," said the Salzburg native. Only Tschofenig had to hurry a little. "It was a bit stressful this year. But we're also doing our own Christmas, which makes it easier," said the Carinthian.

Roast pork, raclette and sandwiches
The ÖSV eagles will be serving a variety of dishes at the feast. Overall World Cup winner Kraft can look forward to boeuf stroganoff on Christmas Eve, while the Pongau native's family traditionally serves roast pork from his grandma on December 25th. The Tschofenigs have a different menu every year. "We always switch things up a bit. It's often been classics like raclette or fondue. This year it's something different, I'll be surprised," said the 22-year-old, whose mother will be cooking. But Tschofenig will also be taking part; together with girlfriend Alexandria Loutitt, the two ski jumpers will be preparing the dessert.

Hörl will be the host this year. "This year we're celebrating at my place, so I won't have to drive," said the Bergisel winner with a laugh. There will be no cooking, "we're making sandwiches, really cozy," said the 26-year-old. "That suits everyone and is a good solution."
