A pitch-black day for Casemiro! Manchester United's midfielder slipped up twice in the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday. Criticism rained down: "Leave soccer before it leaves you."

Liverpool took a highly deserved lead in the 35th minute: after a fatal misplaced pass by Casemiro in the forward movement, Ryan Gravenberch played the ball to Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool maestro crossed to Luis Diaz, who headed in to make it 1:0.

And just seven minutes later, Casemiro's next faux pas. The Brazilian lost the ball in his own half of the pitch. Liverpool took full advantage of the blunder and took a 2-0 lead before the break. At half-time, the game was over: 20-year-old Toby Collyer replaced Casemiro, who played a disastrous game.

"Not the first time"
 As a result, the 32-year-old, who has been one of Real Madrid's mainstays for years and has won numerous titles, had to accept harsh criticism. "It's not the first time he's made mistakes, despite his experience. They're not worth the risk," Man United legend Roy Keane scolded on Sky. "Casemiro must be aware of what's going on around him." His former team was "shocking", Keane said.

"He's had a great career and won everything you can win and it's a sad sight to see what he's going through out there," Jamie Carragher sympathized with Casemiro. The former Liverpool FC kicker's harsh verdict is that the latter has passed his peak. Carragher once again advised the Manchester United professional: "Leave soccer before it leaves you."
