“Swiftie” Babler started his election campaign tour

The first stop took the party leader to his comrades in Salzburg. He was warmly welcomed there despite the vacation of regional leader David Egger and came out as a fan of Taylor Swift.

SPÖ leader Andreas Babler started his election campaign tour "With heart and brain" in Salzburg on Friday. Not quite like a pop star, because Babler is traveling in a camper van and not a tour bus. In Vienna, the SPÖ greets Taylor Swift fans from posters. Babler is already a "Swiftie" too. "Of course, what else can I say," said Babler.

Why start the tour in Salzburg? Because the election successes of the Salzburg SPÖ had shown "what social democracy is capable of". And although state party leader David Egger is on vacation, Babler received a warm welcome in Salzburg.

Mayor Bernhard Auinger mingles with Babler in the Europark in the evening. Regional Managing Director Gerald Forcher was already singing his praises in the morning: "We also achieved our election successes in Salzburg because Babler gave us so much support in the spring." On his tour throughout Austria, the SPÖ leader now wants to talk to as many people as possible.
