Pure golfing pleasure
Scottish greens in deep Adamstal
Rally legend Franz Wittmann serves up regional cuisine and golfing pleasure at its finest at GC Adamstal.
"It's very pleasant indeed here," smiles Anglo-Saxon golf pro Billy and his Scottish charm alone instantly reminds you of the Highlands! However, this may also have something to do with the fact that the world-famous Irish designer Jeff Howes has created one of the most spectacular golf courses in Europe, nestled in the rolling hills of the Alpine foothills near Ramsau in the district of Lilienfeld. Including an 18-hole championship course, of course.
"The only thing you won't find here is highland cattle, but the Stifado restaurant serves delicacies from my organic Kleinzell lambs grazing nearby," smile former national rally champion Franz Wittmann and his Rolanda, who is the ladies' captain at Adamstal.
Golf and culinary delights
Enjoyment with the "iron" is complemented by culinary delights! "We refine food from the region. The game is brought to me by hunters from Ramsau, the fish land on my guests' plates from the Gölsen and the pigs for the roast are supplied by the Seiser organic farm," assures top chef Claus Curn.
