Largest company relocation in the village’s history

The lead time was long, but the result is now clearly visible: the huge earth movements in Nassereith are being used to accommodate Swacrit. The global Swarovski company will open its third site in summer 2025. 

Progress on the (single-lane) Nassereith bypass is currently slow, with work being carried out on the galleries. However, anyone driving towards Innsbruck will see trades of a completely different dimension and ask themselves in view of the enormous earth movements on over two hectares: what is being built here? Nassereith's mayor Herbert Kröll would answer the question with great pride: "A huge project for the municipality." Probably the largest business settlement in the history of the village.

A flagship project for the local economy
The company Swacrit is building a state-of-the-art production facility for the manufacture of high-tech system assemblies on an area of around 8,000 square meters - the third location of the globally active company after Hall and Wildermieming. The three initial letters of the company name hint at a prominent name: The boss is Christoph Swarovski, who is also President of the Federation of Austrian Industries in Tyrol. With an annual turnover of over 37 million euros in 2022, Swacrit is an international system supplier for customers in the high-tech industry.

The company operates in the vacuum technology, instrumentation, medical technology and aerospace technology markets. The relocation is a flagship project for the entire Imst business district.

Construction begins in May, opening in 2025
Following an official halt to work on soil replacement in January, work has long since resumed with large equipment. "A flood protection wall is currently being built," says the headquarters in Hall, "and work on the soil improvement measures is continuing in parallel. The building construction work is expected to start in May." For the local boss, it will be "also a super project in terms of energy technology and architecture", which is due to open in early summer 2025.

Over 100 jobs are to be created. A PV system with 422 kWp is planned on the roof of the building and a system with 194 kWp on the roof of the employee parking lot. According to Kröll, an information event was also planned for the people of Nassereither. Swacrit has declined this offer. However, they will certainly involve the local population and communicate via other channels. The big celebration will take place on the occasion of the opening.
