Contact with William?
Prince Harry is “devastated” about Kate
Prince Harry (39) is said to have been "devastated" after the emotional announcement of Kate's cancer diagnosis and is now trying to stay in touch with his sister-in-law and big brother.
Shortly after Catherine shared her cancer diagnosis with the world in a moving video message on Friday evening, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry also spoke out.
"We wish Kate and her family health and healing and hope that they can do so in peace and tranquillity," the Sussexes said via their spokesperson, making them among the first people to publicly wish Kate a speedy recovery.
Harry is "devastated"
In addition to their official statement, Prince Harry is also said to have made private contact with his sister-in-law, as reported by the US magazine "People". According to the Daily Mail, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also confirmed that Prince Harry is said to have been distraught and "devastated" after Kate's cancer was announced.
Princess Kate is said to have been like a sister to Prince Harry that he never had, an insider told the Daily Mail in 2016. The US magazine "People" claims to have learned that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex allegedly reached out to Kate and Prince William amid the terrible news.
Harry doesn't want to rule out Meghan
Royal expert Tom Quinn is also certain that Prince Harry is doing everything he can to stay in touch with his brother William and Catherine - but not without his wife.
"Harry and Meghan's contacts and condolences have always been as a couple - in other words, Harry has not contacted William and Kate on his own initiative. The condolences have clearly come from the Meghan and Harry team - Harry hasn't sent a message just from him because he's not doing anything that might appear to exclude Meghan," Quinn told the Mirror newspaper.
Nevertheless, it is still unclear whether the former actress will accompany her husband to the UK in May to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games, which were founded by Prince Harry - and to visit relatives who have fallen ill.
