Why Innsbruck Volleyball believes in promotion

The efforts were great, but after the 3:1 home win over Aich/Dob in the third match of the semi-final series of the Volleyball Bundesliga, the Hypo team once again believes in advancing to the final match against the already qualified Hartberg team. The third set on Wednesday was the turning point.

The jubilation was like an explosion. As if it had been the decisive point in the Champions League. But it was "only" the set point in the third set. Almost a bit exaggerated. But only almost... Because Hypo Tirol coach Stefan Chrtiansky knew exactly why he clenched his fist sooo enthusiastically and let his enormous enthusiasm out sooo loudly.

Set two turned everything around
In the third match of the semi-final series against Aich/Dob, the Innsbruck volleyball team had turned around a set that they had almost thought had been lost. After all, the score had been 20:16 in favor of the visitors shortly beforehand. However, Hypo scored the point to make it 26:24 and turn the game around on Wednesday evening in the USI Hall in Innsbruck. And perhaps even the entire semi-final.

Their opponents in the final are Hartberg
The Tyroleans now lead the series 2:1 and can seal the deal in Carinthia on Saturday. "We don't need the fifth game in Innsbruck, we want to and can secure our promotion to the final away from home," said volleyball maestro Hannes Kronthaler. The fact that Aich/Dob were on the wrong end of the stick on Wednesday, with the bench and coach having a battle of words, supports this theory. Another positive: The injury break for Brazilian Arthur Nath could now be shorter than feared. Although Kronthaler registered with satisfaction: "Finn Örley did a top job!"
