Too many trips to the loo – woman thrown off the plane

An airline passenger had to use the lavatory too often before taking off from Mexico to Canada - the plane eventually took off without the author. On the X platform, Joanna Chiu vented her anger about this procedure and advised her readers: "If you get sick before a flight, just hold it in ..."

The 35-year-old was already on the plane, but had stomach problems. This alerted the flight attendants, who took the harsh decision not to allow her to fly.

Airline: "Take concerns very seriously"
"In cases where a guest is deemed unfit to travel due to illness, our crew must make difficult decisions in the name of safety," the airline Westjet told "Now Toronto". The safety of passengers and crew is a high priority, "which is why we take all health concerns very seriously," the airline said.

Passenger had to pay for her own hotel costs
"I had medication and was on the road to recovery," Chiu told X, explaining that she could not understand this decision. She had also received "no promise" that she would be able to rebook onto another flight when she was thrown off the plane. To make matters worse, she had left her money on the plane during her hasty exit. She ended up having to pay for a hotel room, but was allowed to fly on another Westjet plane the next day at no extra charge.

Under her post, there are also critical voices that find Chiu's behavior unacceptable. "If you are ill, you should not get on an airplane. How do you know you're not contagious?" warns one X user.
