Ferlach woman escaped from the clutches of her tormentor

A violent argument broke out in a Ferlach apartment on Monday. A 49-year-old man threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend. The 50-year-old was able to flee to the police at the last moment. 

The break-up and the lifestyle of the 50-year-old woman from Ferlach infuriated the 49-year-old Serbian man so much that he lost his temper on Monday morning and threatened to kill the woman several times in her own apartment. The alcoholic also injured his former partner in the chest area with a knife.

The woman from Rosental managed to escape at the last moment. But she was pursued by her tormentor. In front of the police station in Ferlach, the injured 50-year-old finally drew attention to herself by honking her horn and was brought to safety by the officers. 

Attacker flees to Klagenfurt
"The 49-year-old then continued his journey towards Klagenfurt in an inebriated state. Officers were able to arrest him there a short time later," according to the Carinthia Provincial Police Directorate. 

Several circumstances, including forgery of documents, led to the public prosecutor's office in Klagenfurt having the Serb taken to Klagenfurt prison. A flood of charges followed.
