Altenhuber and Tiefenthaler row into the top 10

Rowers Louisa Altenhuber/Lara Tiefenthaler finished tenth overall in the lightweight double sculls at the Olympic Games in Vaires-sur-Marne. The red-white-red duo rowed to fourth place in the B final on Friday in 7:10.02 minutes, thus fulfilling their own Olympic goal. 

"It was our best competition of the season from start to finish," said Altenhuber with satisfaction on ORF. Gold went to Great Britain's Emily Craig and Imogen Grant.

"The fact that we finished the last Olympic race in the lightweight women's double sculls with our greatest sporting success is incredibly nice," added Altenhuber.
