“30 Overnight”: This is what teenage Jenna looks like today

It's been 20 years since "30 Overnight" starring Jennifer Garner as Jenna Rink flickered across cinema screens. To mark the anniversary of the cult film, Christa Belle, who played the role of the young Jenna Rink back then, has now come up with something very special.

Kids, how time flies! That's probably what many fans of the cult film "30 Overnight", which celebrated its 20th anniversary on Tuesday, thought. The fact that two decades have actually passed since the film premiered can be seen in the former child star Christa Allen, who now calls herself Christa Belle and has become a beautiful young woman.

And it was also the 32-year-old who had a very special surprise in store for her fans on Instagram. In a video, Belle showed herself in a reinterpretation of the iconic Versace dress worn by "30 Overnight" main character Jenna Rink at the party where the legendary dance number to Michael Jackson's hit "Thriller" was performed.

"Oh, how time flies," Belle wrote on the short clip in which she showed off the sexy outfit. "To celebrate this momentous day and share our mutual love for the movie, Jenna Rink and her wardrobe, I reinterpreted the iconic dress as a dress with chainmail and rhinestones."

She actually wanted to have the entire dress decorated with rhinestones, but even making this version took "many hours because they put each one on by hand", the actress continued. It would have taken "hundreds of hours" if it had actually been realized "the way I imagined it".

Original dress lost
Incidentally, the original Versace dress that Jennifer Garner wore for the film is missing, as costume designer Susie DeSanto revealed to People magazine. Neither she nor Garner kept the dress after the shoot, even though she no longer knows why.

According to the Hollywood stylist, the colorful dress, like many film props, was supposed to be kept in a warehouse in case it was needed again for a film. But this dress, of all things, disappeared on its way there.

DeSanto laughed that she would never have dreamed that Garner's Versace dress would still be hype 20 years after the movie. In any case, this was "never intended".

Garner and co-stars say thank you
The three main actors of "30 Overnight", Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer, met for an Instagram chat on the 20th anniversary, in which they reminisced about old memories of the film.

They were delighted that fans still love the romantic comedy. Garner revealed, among other things, that she had recently met a baby named after her character Jenna.

"To everyone who loved this movie with us: thank you so much. We see you, we appreciate you and we love you back. Forever thirty, flirty and successful!" the now 52-year-old rejoiced in the commentary to the clip.
