Volunteer week
For everyone in Tyrol who wants to get involved
The Tyrolean Volunteer Week takes place this year from April 24 to 30. More than 70 projects will show Tyroleans who want to get involved where, how and when this is possible. With so much on offer, there should be something for everyone.
Some of you may have already toyed with the idea of taking up a voluntary activity - but weren't sure what was right for you. In this case, the pondering could soon come to an end: Volunteer Week is taking place in Tyrol from April 24 to 30, during which organizations in Tyrol will open their doors to introduce people to volunteering, associations and institutions.
With more than 70 projects - from baking cakes with senior citizens, sorting clothes or maintaining green spaces - there should be something for everyone.
Every second Tyrolean already volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering can find out which area is right for them.

From wheelchairs to raised beds
In Innsbruck, for example, the social services invite people in wheelchairs or with walking aids to accompany them to the museum at Bergisel. In the municipality of Steinach am Brenner, for example, people have the opportunity to plant raised beds on a voluntary basis. The events are suitable for people of all ages. The organizers are looking forward to welcoming numerous visitors.
Participation is free of charge. Governor Anton Mattle (ÖVP) encourages people to get involved: "Every second Tyrolean already volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering can find out which area is the right one for them."
