Star traumatized
Angie Harmon: Supplier shot her cute dog
"We are completely traumatized and devastated". Angie Harmon is crying for her beloved dog and is unspeakably angry at the same time. The reason: Oliver, a mongrel dog, was shot dead by an employee of a food delivery service, apparently for no reason.
According to Harmon's Instagram post, "the driver first delivered the food and then just shot our beloved, sweet Ollie."
"Shot your mutt"
The 'Law & Order' actress was at home with her daughters at the time and the security camera on the doorbell was out of action: "We were just loading them in the house and the guy knew he wasn't being recorded. He even tormented us repeatedly afterward with, yes, I shot your mutt."
Harmon immediately called the police, who confronted the man. Harmon: "He claimed it was self-defense. He didn't have a scratch, a bite mark on his body or even torn clothing."
"Unspeakably traumatized"
The 51-year-old also revealed that the dog killer had delivered under a false name: "He claimed to work for the Instacart delivery service. But his ID card was that of a woman."
According to a police spokesman, there are no charges against the driver, whose claim of self-defense could not be disproved.
In a follow-up post, Harmon lashes out at the man who "took her Ollie": "Your actions were disgusting and inexcusable. Not only did they take a beloved member of our family, they traumatized us beyond words. The fact that someone could carry out such a heartless act is beyond me. I am heartbroken that I couldn't even say goodbye to him!"
Colleagues try to comfort
Colleague Debra Messing expressed her shock in her comment under Harmon's post: "Oh my Angie, this is so awful. I can't believe someone could be so sick and cold to kill a family dog for no reason. My heart is broken for you and sweet Ollie. I curse this monster."
Alongside Allison Janney - "I'm sad and stunned" - Patricia Heaton also expressed her condolences to her good Hollywood friend: "Oh no, I'm so very sorry"
