Store rammed
Bistro box was the victim of a speeding driver
If you fancy a quick pizza at Easter in Mattighofen, you might have a problem. Because the Bistrobox fell victim to a speeding driver on Holy Saturday. It's hard to imagine what could have happened if someone had felt hungry early in the morning and wanted to buy something here.
At around seven o'clock in the morning, a 32-year-old driver from Pram was speeding through the town - witnesses later said that he had obviously not kept to the speed limit. Finally, he lost control of his Audi and sped straight ahead in a left-hand bend across a parking lot. There he rammed into a parked car and the force of the impact sent both cars flying into the self-service store.
Speeder seriously injured
Fortunately, there were no customers there at the time, otherwise the accident would have turned out worse. The 32-year-old was seriously injured and taken to hospital by an emergency doctor; the cars and bistro were badly damaged.
