“Celebration beast” Feller lost his crystal ball!
Where there are celebrations, little hopplas are never far away! Manuel Feller had to be a proud 31 years old to round off an outstanding slalom season by winning the small crystal globe, and then Austria's skiing figurehead didn't know where the trophy had gone the morning after the celebratory party ...
As Feller revealed on "Sport und Talk im Hangar 7" on ServusTV, there was actually a brief moment of guesswork as to what might have happened to the crystal ball.
"If you don't celebrate something like that ..."
The party didn't actually last that long, "until 3 o'clock in the morning". But he and the whole team enjoyed it, because "if you don't celebrate something like this ..."
At some point during the celebration, however, Feller lost sight of his trophy - and in the morning, after getting up, the question arose: Where is the bullet?
"Do you know that your bullet is in bed with us?"
Before too much panic could set in, a call from the physiotherapist put her mind at rest: "Do you actually know that your ball is in bed with us?"
"I had to wash it first ..."
"The ball didn't have any scratches, it still looks good," Feller reassured the panel on ServusTV, but admitted that it had been "a bit spiky".
