Slalom show in the final
LIVE from 10.30 am: Who will win the final slalom?
Mega show from Manuel Feller at the World Cup final in Saalbach! The Tyrolean, who has been crowned World Cup bullet winner, ended the season with a second place in the slalom.
Feller finished in the top 5 in all ten races in this discipline. Timon Haugan won the alpine skiing final in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, ensuring the first Norwegian men's success this winter. Feller was 0.40 seconds behind, third was the German Linus Straßer (+0.44).
Among the 13,600 fans were many from the Fieberbrunner Feller's home region. Even his grandmother came to cheer on her grandson live as he lifted the crystal ball. And to see him with long hair once again, as cutting was on the agenda for the evening. And a visit to the doctor, as the 31-year-old had been at the start with a damaged, possibly broken finger.
Here is the result:
Strolz in 10th place
There were also points for Johannes Strolz, who improved from 20th place to tenth. "I benefited from the starting number. I'm happy to take that with me, but I have to classify it correctly. It was simply the weather and the slope," said the man from Vorarlberg. However, he is pleased that he has managed to perform consistently again over the winter. He only dropped out once and was never worse than 18th. Michael Matt came away empty-handed (19th), Dominik Raschner and Fabio Gstrein were eliminated in the second run.
