Imprisonment for sister-in-law
Sex video scandal surrounding PL professional: verdict is final!
A verdict has now been reached in the blackmail scandal surrounding Ui-Jo Hwang. The sister-in-law of the Nottingham Forest professional must go to prison for three years. She had posted a sex video of the South Korean online and tried to blackmail him with it.
As the competent court in Seoul explained, the accused had published the videos "in the knowledge that they would be distributed indiscriminately". According to the Yonhap news agency, the court's three-year sentence was one year less than the prosecution had demanded.
How did the video come about?
Despite the verdict, the investigation is not yet complete, it is said, the video is to be examined for its content, and it is also not clear whether there were any violations of the law when it was made.
Hwang, who is currently on loan to Alanyaspor at club level, has been suspended by the South Korean association pending the outcome of the investigation.
