Music event evacuated due to bomb threat

It was probably a bad joke! An unknown female voice called the emergency services on Friday night and warned of a bomb and weapons on the exhibition grounds in Klagenfurt. A rap concert had to be evacuated.

According to the police, the emergency call came in from a telephone booth at around 11.08 pm. A woman warned of her ex-boyfriend and two other friends. She claimed that the men were on their way to a music event at the exhibition center in Klagenfurt with weapons and a bomb.

The area was cleared immediately
The club show "Azet x Albi" in exhibition hall 3 was immediately interrupted, the area was cleared and searched by police. However, neither weapons nor a bomb were found. The concertgoers were able to return to the exhibition hall after the operation and the event continued.

Magic show also disrupted
"As the call was made from a telephone booth, it cannot be traced. Further investigations are underway," said the police. Visitors to the magic show by magician Christoph Kulmer in the Messearena were also briefly disturbed by the police operation. "Suddenly some heavily armed police officers strayed into the wrong hall, but that was quickly cleared up," magician Christoph Kulmer told "Krone".
