Christoph Daum accuses Thomas Tuchel of not putting himself in front of his team enough. The Swabian will leave FC Bayern at the end of the season. In addition to the recent disappointing results, personal differences between coach and players are said to have made a future in this way impossible. 

Background: Tuchel had repeatedly caused a stir with harsh public criticism of his players. Daum believes that this is not exactly conducive to team spirit. "Who doesn't think it's great when someone is honest? Everyone thinks that's great. But in a situation like this, I lie for my team because I put myself in front of them and protect them," the former Austria coach made clear on Sky.

The others are to blame
Lothar Matthäus, on the other hand, criticized the fact that Tuchel always blames others. "If he's honest, he has to be honest with himself first and he forgets that. He doesn't question his mistakes. He always goes after his players, belittles them, but doesn't try to find fault with himself. He only ever points his fingers at the players," said the 189-time Bayern player.

Tuchel must also use the remaining games to recommend himself to new teams. "He has to remember that his future is also at stake. He has to perform to the best of his ability until he leaves Bayern Munich so that he has a calling card and can then return to a top club," said Matthäus.
