Five challenging years with loyal regular customers
Music leaves no one cold: Feldkirch store owners Roland Mähr and Fabio Böckle benefit from this. With their "zusammenklang", they can already look back on five - and challenging - years.
The retail sector has faced numerous challenges in recent years: the pandemic, global unrest, weak economic development and high inflation - to name just a few examples. And despite countless efforts to strengthen local trade, sales have increased, especially in the online sector. A situation that also left its mark on Fabio Böckle and Roland Jolly Mähr: zusammenklang - just a five-minute walk from Feldkirch city center - had been open for less than a year when the first lockdown forced it to close for several weeks. Further economic and social developments were not exactly conducive to business either.
It's fun to talk to the musicians and respond to their individual wishes.

Inspiring young people for music
That's why they are all the more pleased to be celebrating their fifth anniversary this weekend. Above all, loyal customers have contributed to the success - including numerous bands, music clubs, Vorarlberg's only rhythm band, the Chaostätscher, as well as recording studios such as Little Big Beat. Cooperation with local music schools and teachers is particularly important to the business owners. After all, they play a crucial role when it comes to getting young people interested in music. The right instrument is very important here. Both in terms of the right size of instrument, for example, and in terms of quality - which doesn't have to be expensive.
But you need advice, because instruments need to be looked after and serviced. As both of them are active in bands themselves, they also speak from experience when it comes to using the instruments on stage. This can be passed on directly. And one thing is clear: music leaves no one cold!
