While some people are enjoying the beautiful autumn day, others are in deep mourning: On Sunday, there was a serious accident in Ferlach in Carinthia. A motorcyclist was rescued too late. 

It is still completely unclear what could have caused the terrible accident: A driving error? A medical emergency such as a heart attack or stroke?

In any case, a 61-year-old motorcyclist from the Feldkirchen district had an accident on Sunday afternoon at the Ferlach-Hauptplatz/St. Margareten junction in Rosental. He had left the road, crashed into a traffic sign and then into the front of a house. Rescue was quickly on the scene, resuscitation was attempted, but all help came too late.

The police are investigating.
