Vienna: Two robberies within one hour

Two armed robberies were committed in Viennese grocery stores on Saturday. As the police announced on Sunday, the first serious robbery was committed in a store in the Innere Stadt at around 4.45 pm. The next robbery took place shortly before 6 pm in Meidling ... 

An unknown person pulled out a firearm in the checkout area of a store in the 1st district, demanded money from an employee and fled after handing it over. An immediate search by the police was unsuccessful. The Vienna State Office of Criminal Investigation, Center East branch, has taken over the investigation. 

Man pulled out a knife with a blue blade
Shortly before closing time at 6 p.m., another grocery store in Vienna-Meidling became the scene of the crime. Under the pretext of wanting to buy something, an unknown man again threatened an employee in the checkout area, this time with a knife with a blue blade. The perpetrator again demanded money and fled with it. Again, an immediate search was unsuccessful.

Police ask witnesses for help
We have a personal description of the suspect in this case. According to the description, the perpetrator was between 25 and 30 years old, 1.70 and 1.80 meters tall, dark-haired and slim. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a white face mask and was dressed in black trousers, a green-grey long-sleeved shirt and a black T-shirt underneath. He was also wearing a black baseball cap without a logo, brown sports or hiking shoes and a large black rucksack. The Vienna State Office of Criminal Investigation, Southern Branch, has taken over the investigation.

Fortunately no one was injured
In both cases, information can also be given anonymously at any police station. Nobody was injured in either robbery.
