70-year-old racing cyclist crashed into car

A serious accident occurred on Saturday morning in Klagenfurt when a 70-year-old racing cyclist and a 51-year-old car driver, both from Klagenfurt, collided at an intersection.

When the accident occurred, the 70-year-old racing cyclist was probably traveling at a good speed. "The racing cyclist was thrown over the hood of the car," reported the police. "He ended up lying seriously injured on the road."

While the man was first treated by the emergency doctor and then taken to Klagenfurt Hospital by ambulance, the police tested the 51-year-old car driver for alcohol: "The test was positive and showed slight alcoholization."
