Accident in Mittersill

66-year-old motorcyclist crashes into a rock face

A biker from Switzerland left the road in Mittersill on Wednesday evening and crashed into a rock face. The accident victim had to be flown to hospital by rescue helicopter.

The 66-year-old man from Zurich was riding his motorcycle on the Pass Thurn road (B 161) in the direction of Mittersill. For unknown reasons, the rider left the road and crashed into a rock face.

After first aid by the emergency doctor, the seriously injured Swiss man was flown to hospital by a rescue helicopter.
