Whoever and however you love: it should make your heart beat faster and your insides glow, it should be allowed to be colorful and not judged from the outside, but accepted. Dr. Gerald Wunderer and sommelier Matthias Lobner grew up in a time when they were able to live the way they wanted. But they are also familiar with unpleasant looks and comments from everyday situations. And as a doctor in Gerald's practice, he often has to diagnose discrimination and minority stress alongside health complaints.

The fact that it has not been possible to live one's love freely for long, not always and by no means everywhere, is a fact that the two of them and the entire Pride movement are aware of, and indeed must be aware of, in order not to lose the freedoms they have already gained. After all, there is still a lot to be done socially, legally and medically to expand the concept of normality and, above all, to put it into practice.

The Doktor Wunderer winery is now dedicating its own wine to the Pride movement. Like love itself, this white wine cuvée is simply meant to be fun. The wine delights with its exoticism and floral accents, animating freshness and seductive liveliness. And offers a great deal of carefree intensity - at just 12% alcohol.

Who is behind the neo-vineyard

Dr. Gerald Wunderer is a doctor and psychiatrist in the idyllic Lower Austrian village of Straning and, together with his partner Matthias Lobner (sommelier and top chef), developed around ten hectares of vineyards into a sophisticated and sustainable wine project two years ago.

You could say that the vineyard is just in the Weinviertel. This is because the village and its vineyards lie at the foot of the Manhartsberg, close to the border with the Waldviertel. This means you can enjoy not only peace and tranquillity here, but also cool nights and spicy air. This is why the wines from Straning are particularly light-footed, aromatic and refreshing.
