Crashed into a wall: hit and run after moped accident

An unknown car driver caused a local woman (50) to crash her moped into a concrete wall in Brixlegg in Tyrol on Sunday night, causing her to fall. The driver then left the scene of the accident without stopping.

At around 11.20 p.m., the 50-year-old was riding her moped on the B171 coming from Sankt Gertraudi in the direction of Brixlegg. Her 52-year-old partner was sitting on the pillion. "At the traffic circle in Brixlegg, the woman entered the traffic circle and intended to continue in the direction of Kundl," said the police. The driver of a dark-colored car probably overlooked the two-wheeler.

Woman was slightly injured
"The 50-year-old was able to avoid a collision with the car by taking evasive action, but consequently crashed into a concrete wall and fell," said the police. She was slightly injured in the accident and had to be taken to hospital in Kufstein. The driver continued in the direction of Kundl.
