Dozens of workers trapped in South Africa
A building under construction collapsed on Monday in the South African coastal town of George. More than 40 construction workers were trapped.

"Seriously injured people were taken out of the building," said a spokesperson for the aid organization Gift of the Givers. No bodies had been recovered at first. It is still unclear why the five-storey building under construction with an underground parking garage collapsed.
Debris and a huge cloud of dust
Videos taken by eyewitnesses immediately after the accident show debris and a huge cloud of dust over the construction site. "Our top priority at the moment is to save lives," said Alan Winde, Premier of the Western Cape Province.
