Auinger now issues final ultimatum to the People’s Party
The bickering in the future Salzburg city government continues. As reported, the future head of the city Bernhard Auinger (SPÖ) wanted to know by Thursday afternoon which of the governing parties would support the working agreement that has been negotiated over the past few weeks. Florian Kreibich has not yet done so with his ÖVP and will only make a final decision on Monday evening after the executive committee meeting.
However, Auinger does not give them that much time. All points have been clarified for him during the negotiations. He wants a decision by Monday afternoon. "The hand is outstretched to the ÖVP. I would like to have them on board. But I'm not available for political games like in the past," Auinger told the "Krone" newspaper. The presentation on Tuesday will then take place with or without Kreibich. Incidentally, the two had not spoken on the phone by midday on Friday.
