"Tried everything"
Despite founder’s tearful video: company goes bust
Three months ago, Lisa-Maria Reisinger appealed to her customers in a tearful video to buy out the stock of her femitale GmbH in order to turn things around. Three months later, the entrepreneur now lets us know: Her company, which specializes in products for menstrual cramps, is on the verge of bankruptcy.
Some hide away, others show how strong they are even in the dark hours of entrepreneurship by putting their feelings and thoughts out there.
"We have to stop"
In mid-January, Lisa-Maria Reisinger posted a dramatic video on social media calling for help to save femitale GmbH, which she founded, by buying out the warehouse of the company from St. Florian near Linz, which specializes in products for menstrual cramps. Three months later, the woman from Engelhartszell sat down in front of the camera again. More composed than back then, she told her companions on Thursday: "Unfortunately, the time has come, we have to stop, we're calling it a day."
They had tried to find an amicable solution with all the creditors. "But we didn't manage it," said Reisinger. He continued: "So the final step must now be taken. And that is to file for insolvency."
"I've cried enough now"
On Friday, the last big sale started on www.femitale.com at 10 a.m. - all products are being offered at minus 60 percent. "My very last wish would be that these great products don't gather dust in the warehouse, but are given the chance to make the world a better place for someone else," says Reisinger, who concluded: "I've cried enough now."
